PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an input device enabling a user to more quickly change the value of a parameter to a required value. SOLUTION: Functions for changing the values of parameters are respectively allocated to an encoder 109, various switches constituting a switch group 110 and respective sliders constituting a slider group 111. A CPU 101 detects user's operation applied to these operators and changes the values of the parameters in accordance with the detected result. When the user executes operation such as the rotation of the encoder 109 at a prescribed speed or more, the quick turn of a controller of a certain slider or the quick operation of switches constituting a switch pair twice, the CPU 101 sets up an initial value to a parameter to be changed in accordance with the operation.
