PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which ensures the separation of a recording medium from an image peeling member and does not entail the complication of constitution without the intrusion of even the less stiff recording medium in particular into the peeling member by adopting the constitution to elastically bring a layer regulating member into abutment on the peeling member under a specified load. SOLUTION: When an image recording medium passes between the heated image peeling roll 10 and a pressurized contact member 20, the image forming material on the image recording medium transfers to the surface of a hot meltable resin layer of the image peeling roll 10. The recording medium from which the image forming material is peeled and removed is guided by the guide member 40, is transported by a transporting roll pair and is housed into an ejection tray. On the other hand, the image forming material transferred to the surface of the image peeling roll 10 is integrated with the hot meltable resin layer of the image peeling roll 10 and the layer thickness of the hot meltable resin layer is regulated by the layer regulating member 30. In such a case, the layer regulating member 30 is so arranged as to be brought into elastic abutment on the image peeling roll 10 formed with the hot meltable resin layer on the surface under the specified load.
