PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electric vehicle controller which can suppress the load fluctuations of an electric vehicle itself as seen from a substation, and accordingly, stabilize a feeding voltage to realize exhibition of the planned travel properties of an electric vehicle. SOLUTION: When the brakes are put on a vehicle, a line switch Ls1 is turned off, and a regenerative power from an induction motor 8 is supplied to a power storage device 5 via an inverter 7 to charge the device 5. When the vehicle is in a power running state, a power stored in the power storage device 5 is discharged and supplied to the induction motor 8 via the inverter 7. If the voltage of the power storage device 5 is lowered to a value below a predetermined value, the line switch Ls1 is turned on and a power is supplied to the induction motor 8 from a feeding circuit.
