PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a standby equipment managing system capable of improving efficiency in the management of standby equipment, speedily, flexibly and precisely dealing with a condition change and easily customizing the standby equipment managing system as well. SOLUTION: This system is provided with plural work stations 1 for running at least one of standby equipment maintenance managing program 3, fault standby equipment arranging program 4 and owned standby equipment number managing program 5 and a common data base server 2 for executing a common data base 6 storing information on standby equipment and each of programs is run on the work station 1. Then, the information on the standby equipment stored in the common data base 6 is retrieved/added/deleted by operating that program so that the standby equipment of a computer network can be managed.
