MAGNETIC POWDER AND MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic recording medium which exhibits excellent weathering resistance and low electric resistance. SOLUTION: In a magnetic layer 4, the surface of metal magnetic powder is mechanochemically covered with carbon black. Thereby oxidation on the surface of the metal magnetic powder can be prevented. Since the surface of metal magnetic powder is mechanochemically covered with the carbon black whose electric conductivity is high, electric resistance is reduced.
