PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile equipment capable of outputting even a received image long in a vertical scanning direction without dividing or reducing it. SOLUTION: All the received images are temporarily stored in a memory (S11). The length of each of received pages in the vertical scanning direction is calculated (S12). The output system of received images is determined from the calculated length, the length of sheet-shaped recording paper set to the equipment, the transmission source, the specified transmission source and a magnification (S13). When the output system is 'non-magnification and division' or 'reduction' (NO in S14), the images are outputted onto the sheet-shaped recording paper (S15). When the output system is 'output using manual paper feed in non-magnification and non-division system' (YES in S14), it is investigated whether a manual paper feeder can be used or not (S16). When it is not in available state (NO in S16), it is reported to turn the device into available state (S17). In the available state (YES in S16), the received images are outputted on the manually fed recording paper (S18).
