<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent decrease in developing characteristics even when printing is repeatedly stopped at a low humidity and at a high humidity by using the reaction product of a specified zirconium and aromatic carboxylic acid. SOLUTION: The toner contains at least a binder resin, coloring agent and organic metal compound. The organic metal compound is an organic zirconium compound produced by the reaction of zirconium and aromatic carboxylic acid (however, the aromatic carboxylic acid does not have carboxyl groups in adjacent carbon atoms in the aromatic ring). The organic zirconium compound contains 1.0 to 2.0 mol of the aromatic carboxylic acid unit per 1 mol of zirconium atom. Or, the organic zirconium compound contains 1.2 to 1.8 mol of the aromatic carboxylic acid unit. Further, the organic zirconium compound is internally added by 0.1 to 10 parts by weight to 100 parts by weight of the binder resin. Or, the organic zirconium compound is externally added as an external additive by 0.01 to 5 parts by weight to 100 parts by weight of the binder resin to the toner particles.</p> |
