PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakage of a sealing part and heat generation of a contact part by providing an external lead with a flat part at least at a part of a projecting part form an end part of an arc tube. SOLUTION: A power feeding member S is composed of a first power feeding plate S1 and a second power feeding plate S2, which are respectively caught and held by being brought into surface contact with a flat part 5a of an external lead 5 and flat contact parts S11, S22. Since a contact area is large, current carrying becomes satisfactory, and generation of heat can be prevented. Additionally, since the power feeding member has a structure where it slidingly moves with respect to the flat part 5a of the external lead 5, even if the power feeding member S is moved by a thermal influence, tensile stress is not applied to the external lead 5, so that a sealing part 11 is prevented from being cracked. Since the flat part 5a will not rotate in a gap between the first power feeding plate S1 and the second power feeding plate S2, the rotation of an incandescent lamp A due to vibration from the outside can be prevented. By providing a part of the flat part of the external lead with a positioning means, positioning in mounting the incandescent lamp to the power feeding member can be carried out easily.
