PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a picture processor in which highly efficient cache hit can be expected at the time of operating any picture processing for successively reading different table data, and the picture processing can be further quickly executed. SOLUTION: The picture processor 15 is provided with an outside memory 1 in which plural table data are stored and a table data cache memory 4 in which the table data read from the outside memory 1 are stored. Moreover, the picture processor 15 is provided with a cache controller 3 for reading required table data from the outside memory 1 when any storage data of the cache memory 4 are not hit at the time of reading required table data, and stores the required table data in the cache memory 4, and reads the prescribed number of table data whose addresses follow the required table data from the outside memory 1, and stores the table data in the cache memory 4 as candidate data.
