SOLUTION: This hydrogen storage device 20 has a plurality of porous molded bodies 30 arranged at a predetermined interval in a longitudinal direction thereof. Conductive buffer materials 32 are inserted between the porous molded bodies 30 and between the porous molded bodies 30 and heat insulation materials 25. Each of the conductive buffer materials 32 has a first conductive buffer material 32a inserted between the heat insulation materials 25 and upper and lower end faces of the porous molded bodies 30, and a second conductive buffer material 32b inserted between right and left side faces of the heat insulation materials 25. At both end portions of a row of the porous molded bodies 30, movable energizing electrodes 60, 61 are disposed that can move according to change in size caused by change in volume of the porous molded bodies 30, and energize the porous molded bodies 30 so that the movable energizing electrodes 60, 61 can constantly keep physical contact with the porous molded bodies 30 and with lids 40, 41.
