A layer of lime, coal dust, sawdust or soil is laid on top of the sludge, and then after leaving to dry in the sun, the aggregated material is removed. A method for accelerating the reduction in moisture of sludge by mixing with lime, coal dust, sawdust or soil, comprises using a scoop to deposit a layer of the drying agent on top of the sludge and then after leaving in sunlight for 1-3 days, a rotivator or mixing machine is used to remove the aggregated material.
