PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue traveling, while protecting peripheral components from a voltage generated by the regeneration of a motor, when a failure occurs in a motor system. SOLUTION: If a failure in a motor system, such as the failure of a current sensor 13, 15 or 17 or a voltage sensor 14 or 16, the failure of a motor 2 (a disconnection in a winding) or the like is detected, a motor controller 5 electrically turns off a main contactor 11 in an on-state and cuts off a power drive unit 7 from a battery 3 so as to discontinue the control of the motor 2. At the same time, the motor controller 5 outputs a signal indicating the failure in the motor system to an engine controller 4. If the failure in the motor system is detected by the motor controller 5 and the main contactor 11 is in an off- state, the engine controller 4 controls an engine 1 so as to have the engine revolution not higher than 5,500 rpm. |
