CATALYST SUPPORTING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst supporting structure capable of suppressing occurrence of out-of-plane bending in a catalyst supporting member of support metal fitments and hence preventing a catalyst from being damaged. SOLUTION: A catalyst support structure is as follows: a plurality of support metal fitments 5 each fixed such that both longitudinal ends are trained over an entire surface of a basket 3 are disposed on a bottom of a cylindrical basket 3 with its upper and lower surfaces opened at a predetermined interval horizontally intersecting the support metal fitments 5. A reinforcing member 6 extending horizontally intersecting the support metal fitments 5 and fixed such that the both longitudinal ends are trained over the internal surface of the basket 3 is joined with a lower portion of the support metal fitments 5, and a plurality of catalysts 8 are filled in the basket 3 such that those catalysts 8 are placed on the catalyst support member 7 formed on an upper portion of the support metal fitments 5. In the support structure, a reinforcing member 6 is disposed below the catalyst support section 7v of the metal fitments 5.
