PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress swelling in a manufacturing process and to achieve mass reduction by mixing high strength hollow ceramic filler of 3%-20% with a base material. SOLUTION: Loss of a high strength hollow ceramic filler can be usually suppressed under about 3% for a pressure of about 100-200 Kgf/cm2. Therefore, it does not swell during high pressure molding in a manufacturing process of a clutch facing and mass reduction can be achieved. If a mixing amount of the high strength hollow ceramic filler is less than 3%, the mass reduction cannot be achieved sufficiently. If the mixing amount exceeds 20%, friction of a counter surface (frictional surfaces of a flywheel and a pressure plate) is un-preferably accelerated. By setting the mixing amount of the high strength hollow ceramic filler 6%-12%, friction coefficient in a low temperature region increases. If the mixing amount is less than 3%, friction coefficient does not increase comparing with no-addition.
