摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medium good in recording characteristic, reproducible by a CD player or a video disk player and excellent in environmental resistance by directly forming on a signal surface of a substrate a recording layer consisting of an alloy based on Au and at least, one element selected from an element group of Ge, Si and Sn and having a specified value of Au percentage content to be adjusted. SOLUTION: This optical information recording medium is constituted so that the recording layer 3 and a protecting layer 4 are successively laminated on the signal surface 2 of the substrate 1. A signal pattern 5 having a minutely uneven shape is formed on the surface 2. The layer 3 consists of the alloy based don at least, one element selected from the element group of Ge, Si and Sn and at least, one element selected from the element group of Au, Ag, Al and Cu. The layer 3 having 70 at.% Au percentage content to be adjusted, when Au is used, is directly formed on the surface 2. The optical information recording medium thus obtained has high reflectance, a large signal modulation degree and excellent oxidation resistance.
