PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface matching apparatus which makes two objects to be treated copy each other, in which no large force is needed when vertically lowering the object to be treated and in which an article can be disposed under the object to be treated. SOLUTION: The surface matching apparatus is =provided with: a clamping part 5 which fixes a first object 3 to be treated; a convex sphere block 2 which is equipped with a clamping part 5 on one surface 2a and further equipped with a convex semi-sphere surface 2b on the opposite side of the surface 2a; a base block 1 equipped with a recessed part 1a which receives the semi-sphere surface 2b of the convex sphere block 2 and holds the convex sphere block 2 in a freely rotatable manner; a positioning means which matches the center point of the joining surface of the first object 3 to be treated with the center point 2c of the semi-sphere surface of the convex sphere block 2; and a pressing means 4 which presses the joining surface of the second object 4 to be treated to the joining surface of the first object 3 to be treated while making the center point of the joining surface of the second object 4 to be treated coincide the center point of the joining surface of the first object 3 to be treated.
