PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely provide balanced special effects (harmony) for a plurality of performance modes all at the same time irrespective of a simply structured performance device. SOLUTION: In a performance device for producing musical sound and special effect sound according to the input of a plurality of kinds of performance data, the performance data is inputted with a plurality of performance forms such as keyboard performance data, automatic performance data from a memory device, and external performance data from an external musical apparatus. When new performance data is inputted, first, the number of special effects is detected (SH1), then it is examined whether the present number of vacant special effect sound producing channels is sufficient for special effects to produced according to the inputted performance data (SH2), and if the channels are insufficient in number, some special effects are stopped in order of agedness (SH4). The special effects are produced according to the new performance data by means of the stopped channels or vacant channels (SH4), thus producing special effects (vocal harmony) based on the newest (the latest arrived) performance data. |
