Subsequently, an optical head 310 is moved to a desired position to read out information of tracks of the disk 600. At this time, a CPU 320 sets a velocity for roughly sending threads according to the target rotational frequency outputted to the servo control part 330, and outputs the velocity to a velocity control part 340. A thread velocity by a thread driver 220 when rough seeking is controlled by the velocity control part 340.
