PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieval device which detects an unspecified topic which is widely discussed at present and can retrieve an information management device that transmits and receives the topic. SOLUTION: In the retrieval device, information which is transmitted and received by an information management device 2 is analyzed by an information analysis part 11, the analysis result is monitored and a change in time of the analysis result is detected by a topic change analysis part 13. A request processing part 18 has a pipe retrieval part 19 retrieve an unspecified topic which is inputted by way of a user interface 16 and is widely discussed at present from pipe information managed by a pipe management part 13 on the basis of a temporal change of the analysis result and retrieve the information.
