PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exclude missetting or the like generated between operators and to improve work efficiency and maintenance by automatically generating the construction of constitutional data of a control device for controlling sequences instead of manual input. SOLUTION: A control device 1 is constituted of a controlling substrate 6 loaded with a CPU and plural electronic(E) substrates 7 connected to the substrate 6 and having various functions necessary for control on each common mother board 5. The substrate 6 has a data base 12 storing its own storing information and the inherent information on respective E substrates 7, each E substrate 7 has a storage element storing its own storing information and the mother board 5 has plural communication lines capable of individually communicating with the substrate 6 and respective E substrates 7. The substrate 6 is provided with an identification means capable of identifying the mounting positions and inherent information on respective E substrates 7 on the basis of the information stored in the data base 12 and the information stored in the storage elements of respective E substrates 7 in the mounted state of the substrate 6 itself on the mother board 5.
