PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera and a charger in which the connection state of the camera and the charger is detected without using exclusive parts, which can inexpensively be constituted with low current consumption and whose charging efficiency is satisfactory. SOLUTION: In a camera 100 having a secondary battery 103 which can repetitively be charged and charging the secondary battery 103 by a charger 200 having no contact point, a POSSW detecting that the camera 100 is installed in a charging possible state and a CPU 101 which shifts an operation mode to the charging possible state based on the output of the POSSW are installed in the charging 200. |
