PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a protective film of a color filter excellent in heat and scratch resistances by laminating a specified resin composition on a substrate and carrying out exposure and development with a specified developer. SOLUTION: A photosensitive resin composition for forming a transparent coating film containing a resin having repeating units of formula I and repeating units of formula II in a molar ratio of 0.8:1 to 5:1, containing a group having a photoreactive unsaturated bond as at leant one of R4 and R5 in at least part of the repeating units of the formula II and having an acid value of 20-200 and an unsaturated group equivalent of 200-1,000, a monomer having one or more photopolymerizable unsaturated bonds in one molecule and a photopolymerization initiator is laminated on a substrate with formed plural colored images. The composition is then exposed and developed with developer containing a basic compound and an alkyl ether surfactant, In the formulae I and II, R1 is methyl or the like, R2 and R3 are each H or the like, R4 and R5 are each H or the like and R6 is H or the like. |
