PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device equipped with a backlight unit, which prevents damage of the lamp resulting from movement of the light transmission plate in the case the liquid crystal display device is shocked, without using any rib or double coated tape which causes nonuniformity of light. SOLUTION: The reflector 4 has the bent parts 4a, formed on respective parts adjacent to the both edges of it in the direction along the lamp 3, having the U-shaped openings with the widths smaller than those in the other parts and made to contact against the end face of the light transmission plate 5. When the liquid crystal display device is shocked in the direction of the lamp 3 the light transmission plate 5 tends to move, however, the lamp 3 is not damaged because the move is stopped by the bent parts 4a. |
