PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially very economical production method in which a drier is made unnecessary or energy used for drying can be diminished as a method for producing a compound in which a slurry is formed under pressure and/or under heating. SOLUTION: The method for producing a compound has (A) a reaction step in which reaction is carried out in a reactor under a higher pressure than atmospheric pressure and a temperature equal to or higher than the boiling point of a used reaction medium under atmospheric pressure to form the compound, (B) a separation step in which a specific quantity or more of the reaction medium is separated from the resulting slurry containing the compound and the reaction medium in a separator under a higher pressure than atmospheric pressure and a temperature equal to or higher than the boiling point of the reaction medium under atmospheric pressure to obtain a cake in which the weight ratio of a liquid sticking to the cake to the solid component is <=50% and (C) a drying step in which the obtained cake is transferred to a compound recovery zone kept under a lower pressure than the pressure in the separator and a lower temperature than the temperature in the separator and the liquid sticking to the cake is evaporated by internal energy released by the transfer.
