LINK MANAGING METHOD FOR DIGITAL INTERFACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a link managing method for a digital interface with which the efficiency of link management can be improved. SOLUTION: Concerning the link managing method for a digital interface with which a link to a plurality of pieces of point-to-point(PTP) linked equipment is managed by the digital interface, this method is provided with a stage for second equipment which sets the PTP link between arbitrary first equipment and the other equipment to receive a link cancel request instruction word for disconnecting the said PTP link from the said first equipment and a stage for the second equipment to disconnect the PTP link in response to the said link cancel request instruction word and when a plurality of pieces of equipment are PTP linked, the equipment in charge of link can disconnect that PTP link.
