<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely remove drops of rainwater, etc., foreign substances and lubricant remaining on a cable, after the cable is washed by jetting washing water. SOLUTION: Washing water is jetted against a cable 2 by front stage nozzles 7a, 7b, 7c and 7d to remove most of drops of rainwater, etc., foreign substances and lubricant. Then most of the foreign substances stuck firmly to the cable 2 are scratched off by brush-type members 12. The washing water is jetted again against the cable 2 by rear stage nozzle 8a, 8b, 8c and 8d to remove the remaining waterdrops, foreign substances and lubricants. Finally, the drops of washing water remaining on the surface of the cable 2 are removed surely by end face rubbers 13a, 13b and 13c.</p> |
