PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize magnetic transfer by disposing an annular electric magnet on at least one side of the upper and lower surface sides of a slave medium, closely adhering a magnetic transferring master carrier with an initially DC-magnetized slave medium after initially DC-magnetizing the slave medium in the direction of a track, and applying a transferring magnetic field in the track direction inverse to the initial DC-magnetizing direction. SOLUTION: A magnetic field 9 leaking from an annular electric magnet 8 is imparted to the surface of a slave medium 4 from the annular electric magnet 8 provided on the upper surface of the slave medium 4, and the slave medium 4 is initially DC magnetized. The annular electric magnets 8a, 8b may be provided in both upper and lower surfaces of the slave medium 4. The magnetic field 9 in the direction opposite to the magnetizing direction of the initial DC magnetization is applied to the whole surfaces of a close contact body by disposing the annular electric magnet 8 on the surface of the close cointact body wherein the slave medium 4 is brought into close contact with a magnetic transferring master carrier to apply the magnetic field 9. The strength of the magnetic field 9 is adjusted by the strength of the electric current and the interval between the annular electric magnet 8 and the surface of the slave medium 4.
