PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain sufficient heat insulation effect by a cover board which covers the outer peripheral surface of an exterior device for automatic vending machine. SOLUTION: A decrease in the cooling capacity of the automatic vending machine can be suppressed by cutting off the heat of the direct sunshine to the top plate of the automatic vending machine. The exterior device 10 is constituted by arranging flank cover boards 18 and 20 and a back cover board 22 which cover the outer peripheral surface of the automatic vending machine 12 below a projection end part of a room member 16 projected slightly from the top plate 14 of the automatic vending machine 12 while leaving a gap with the outer peripheral surface, and the heat of the direct sunshine is discharged with air flowing in the gap to hold the outer peripheral surface of the automatic vending machine 12 almost at atmospheric temperature.
