PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely obtain information from a specified sensor, to intensity manage the sensor of a high function and to realize high reliability, low manufacturing cost and the high function by connecting plural sensor units in series to a transmission line of a two wire wiring system and outputting information response signals with respect to an information request from a central monitoring device by means of the sensors. SOLUTION: The sensor system has a central monitoring device 1 and a sensor means 10. The sensor means 10 is constituted by connecting plural sensor units 10-1, 10-2, 10-3,..., 10-n detecting various information on an environment change to a transmission line 20 of a loop shape. The central monitoring device 1 managing various information detected by the sensor units 10-1, 10-2, 10-3,..., 10-n is connected to the transmission line 20. The sensor system can supply power of the respective sensors only by series wiring and information requests to the respective sensors and information responses from the sensors can be transmitted.
