PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ontology constructing device for easily constructing an ontology and an ontology construction program storing medium for storing an ontology construction program for operating a computer system as the ontology constructing device. SOLUTION: This device is provided with acquiring means 61 and 62 for obtaining words applied as item names for plural items from a data base, a user interface for presenting the words acquired by the acquiring means 61 and 62, and for accepting a selecting operation for selecting plural words among the presented words, and for designating a hierarchical relation or an attribute relation, and for accepting a designating operation for designating the origin of relation and the destination of relation, and an ontology constructing part 64 for constructing ontology by makign the plural words selected by the selecting operation correspond to each other according to the designating operation.
