PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new flat cable fusing method and its fusing member capable of easily obtaining a high quality flat cable while restricting the occurrence of burrs at the terminals of fused portions. SOLUTION: While a bunch of electric wires A insulation-coated with thermoplastic resin are continuously delivered, fusing members 6 with angular portions of their contact faces curved or rounded are put in contact therewith at their upper and lower portions or either side for fusing adjacent electric wires 1 together to intermittently form fused portions in the longitudinal direction. This causes portions of the melted resin to hardly stay at the corner portions 6d of the contact faces 6c of the fusing members 6 during fusion to restrict the occurrence of burrs, leading to good fusing work.
