PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent variations of characteristics in practical use of a ferromagnetic tunnel joining element by making the electric current flow to the ferromagnetic tunnel joining element for a specified time before practical use. SOLUTION: A first ferromagnetic film 211 and a second ferromagnetic film 212 are laminated in both sides of an insulating film 210 in a ferromagnetic tunnel joining element (TMR element) 2. The current (i) is made to flow to the TMR element 2 by using a current source A for specified time before practical use. Then the resistant value of the insulating film 210 at the time of practice use is stabilized by previously removing, with an electric shortcircuit (insulation breaking) before practical use, the thin part of the film thickness which brings changes of the resistant value of the insulating film 210 and variations of an output. Thus, variations of the TMR element 2 in practical use are prevented. Although the output value is a little reduced by such a stabilization processing, it is almost negligible in practical use. |
