PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting magnet device capable of forming a space of intensive magnetic field and a method of magnetizing superconductors. SOLUTION: The superconducting magnet device includes a plurality of magnetic field generating sections 2 and 29 comprising superconductors 21 housed in vacuum heat insulating containers 20. The sections 2 and 29 are arranged adjacent to each other so as to form a space of magnetic field. The superconducting magnet device further includes magnetizing coils 25 for magnetizing the superconductors 21, a cooling unit 11 for cooling the superconductors 21, and an evacuating unit 12 for evacuating the containers 20.
