The cooling procedure consists of reducing the concentration of the coolant liquid, holding it in a trap which acts as a good conductor of heat to reduce the risk of explosion in the event of overheating of a nuclear power plant boiler. The procedure is used, for example, with liquid helium as the coolant and metal micro-balls as the heat conductors.
