PURPOSE: A polymeric fluorescent substance is provided to suitably use as a polymer for high performance polymer LED(light emitting device). CONSTITUTION: The polymeric fluorescent substance contains specific proportion of a repeating unit comprising 2 to 5 arylene groups or heterocyclic compound groups. The polymeric fluorescent substance has strong fluorescence, and can be suitable used as a polymer for high performance polymer LED and a dye for laser.
