PURPOSE: A breakwater or a revetment covering block is provided to lengthen the endurance longevity of a breakwater or a revetment by keeping the initial state not to be slid from an incline plane. CONSTITUTION: A breakwater or a revetment covering block (11) comprises a plane frame (2) of a regular width, length and thickness, many rectangular water openings (5) bored all over the plane frame (2), right and left side walls (3)(3a) installed continuously, perpendicularly and symmetrically with respect to the right and left side of the plane frame (2); an intermediate wall (4) installed continuously on the center of the rear of the plane frame (2) corresponded to the center between the right and left side walls (3)(3a); a male key (6) on the upper surface of the right and left side walls (3)(3a) and the intermediate wall (4) and a female key (7) on the lower surface to be retreated.
