PURPOSE: A gasket is provided to achieve an improved sealing effect and allow the gasket to be easily inserted by incorporating a metal plate having a cutaway portion into the gasket. CONSTITUTION: A metal plate(11) is incorporated into a gasket(10) made up of elongated Teflon in such a manner that the metal plate is not exposed to the outside of the gasket. The metal plate has a plurality of cutaway portions(12) forming a plurality of concentric circles. Since the metal plate is incorporated into the gasket, the gasket is easily inserted. In addition, the cutaway portion formed on the metal plate increases sealing sections allowing the gasket to be used for high pressure sealing.
