PURPOSE: An edge finishing material for furniture and the trimming apparatus are provided to improve productivity by minimizing the discharge of pollutants and pressing out to have a broad width and to generalize the use of a trimming apparatus by using a low-priced trimming apparatus. CONSTITUTION: An edge finishing material for furniture (10), which has a thickness of 1.5 ¯ 3 millimeters in polypropylene as the main component and is used for finishing an edge part (14) of a furniture (12), comprises the steps of; printing or providing patterns by copying and twisting on the surface of the edge finishing material for furniture (10), wherein if patterns are printed by copying on the surface of the finishing material (10), the finishing material (10) is used as a single core paper and if patterns are provided by twisting to the surface of the finishing material (10), a separate surface paper with patterns is adhered to the surface of the finishing material (10); applying a hot-melt adhesive and an adhesive having affinity on the back of the finishing material (10); trimming the projected finishing material outward from the edge part, herewith the edge finishing material for furniture (10) is adhered to the edge part (14) of furniture (12) using a hot-melt adhesive, so that the edge part (14) of furniture (12) is finished finely.
