PURPOSE: A hopper device is provided to reduce the bounce of a coin and to improve the pickup efficiency of the coin by providing a step in the height of the inner bottom wall of a tank on which a disk is arranged freely rotatably. CONSTITUTION: Slope parts(14,15) like a pot bottom are successively formed between upper and lower opening parts(12,13) of a tank(11). Inside the opening part(13) of the inner bottom, a circular disk(21) is housed freely rotatably. Through holes(23) of coins are formed at equal intervals in the circumferential direction of the disk(21). The inner peripheral wall of the lower opening part(13) close to an outlet(16) is formed into high wall H and the other remaining is formed into low wall L. The high wall H is formed successively to the narrow slope part(15) and the low wall L is formed successively to the wide slope part(14). The slope parts(14,15) are successively formed while interposing a step part S. When the disk(21) is rotated. A coin is dropped into the through hole(23) and overlapped. The lowest dropped coin is moved while being slid on the upper surface of a pedestal by a pawl(24), and discharged from the outlet(16) to the outside of the device.
