A protease having more than 200 % activity after being incubated for more than 10 days in a solution comprising more than 50 % by weight of an organic solvent. Preferably, the protease is derived from <i>Bacillus Sphaericus</i>. Also provided are detergent compositions comprising these protease enzymes.
