PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device having a repair function is provided so that a process yield can be improved by aligning a pixel electrode to repair electrode open and short states. CONSTITUTION: The liquid crystal display device having a repair function includes a pixel electrode(30) formed separately from a gate line(34) and a data line(8). Here, the gate line(34) is formed on an insulating substrate(22), and a gate electrode is incorporated with the gate line(34). Thereafter, a gate insulating film is formed on the gate line(34). The data line(8) and a semiconductor layer(6) are formed on the gate insulating film, crossing the gate line(34). Here, a source electrode(36) is incorporated with the data line(8), and a drain electrode unit(38) is formed to face the source electrode(36) at a predetermined interval. A protective film(32) having a predetermined thickness is formed. The first contact hole(37) is formed on the protective film(32) corresponding to the drain electrode unit(38). Here, the first contact hole(37) is electrically connected to the pixel electrode(30) and the drain electrode unit(38).
