The locking catch has a rotatable catch (32) secured to the door or window frame and a catch element (15) secured to the door or window panel (14), which cooperates with the catch during closure for rotation of the latter. An operating device (34) for the catch is activated by this initial rotation, for completing the rotation of the catch into a locking position. Also included are Independent claims for the following:- (a) a door provided with a locking catch; (b) a door panel provided with a catch element; (c) a door frame provided with a rotatable catch; (d) an application of a locking catch to a door.
