PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display medium capable of displaying image information which can not be recognized by eyes but can be recognized by a specified means and easily rewriting the image information. SOLUTION: This display medium 1 has a liquid crystal layer 3 formed on a substrate 2 and a image is displayed on the layer 3. The liquid crystal layer 3 is an assembly of micro capsules 6 consisting of at least a liquid crystal material 6 sealed in a transparent membrane 4 and the image displayed by the liquid crystal layer 3 is visualized at least through a polarizing layer 7 disposed outside the display medium 1.
