PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing tar from entering into an ammonia water storage tank is provided to improve distillation efficiency by preventing a distillation column from being clogged by tar powder. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises an ammonia water inlet unit, a tar removing and washing liquid storage unit for removing tar from the ammonia water introduced through the ammonia water inlet unit, and a tar wash unit for washing off tar from the tar removing and washing liquid storage unit. The ammonia water inlet unit includes cylindrical tanks(1,2), and ammonia water inlet pipes(3,4) and a vent pipe(5) installed between cylindrical tanks. The tar removing and washing liquid storage unit includes a main body(10) having a syphon cut-off pipe and an ammonia water discharge pipe(13), and a circular convex plate(14) and a circular plate incorporated into the main body. The tar wash unit includes a cylindrical tank(30), a syphon pipe of which one end is contained into the circular tank, a square C-shaped pipe(36) connected with the syphon pipe, and an injector pipe(37) communicated to the syphon pipe and the square C-shaped pipe through an injector(31).
