PROJECTION DISPLAYER HAVING KEYSTONE CORRECTION FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A projection displayer having a keystone correction function is provided to display an image at a high luminance by thinning the device and reducing loss of quantity of light. CONSTITUTION: An intermediate phase formation optical system(43) is disposed between a light source(41) and a projection screen(47) to thus form a display image into an intermediate phase(44) having a predetermined keystone value. A projection lens(45) generates an inverse keystone having a counter value of the keystone value of the intermediate phase(44), and forms the intermediate phase(44) on the projection screen(47). A mirror(46) controls the optical path of a light penetrating an LCD panel(42) so that the intermediate phase can be formed on the surface vertical to the optical axis.
