PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an adverse influence exerted by a hazardous material and a smell without damaging the advantage of a total heat exchange device. SOLUTION: This device comprises an introduction flow passage 1 to introduce outside air to the interior of a room; an exhaust flow passage 2 to discharge indoor air to the exterior of a room; a heat exchanger 3 to achieve mutual crossing of the introduction flow passage 1 and the exhaust flow passage 2; a light catalyst element 4, situated downstream from the heat exchager 3, of the introduction flow passage 1; and a light source 5 to irradiate a light catalyst element 4 with excitation light. |
