PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive type image forming material capable of recording from digital data of a computer or the like, using IR-emitting solid-state laser and semiconductor laser and having high sensitivity with respect to IR laser light. SOLUTION: Relating to this image-forming material a 1st layer in which a chemical bond is cleaved with an acid generated by the action of light or heat as a catalyst to increase the solubility of the layer in an alkali developing solution is disposed on a substrate and a 2nd layer, in which an acid generating agent is decomposed with an acid generated by the action of light or heat as a catalyst and an acid is propagated, is disposed on the 1st layer to obtain the object image-forming material. The 1st layer and/or the 2nd layer contains an IR absorber. |
