PURPOSE: To realize a straight path and reduce a size of a substrate by electrically connecting front and rear faces of the substrate and setting a driving element to an opposite face of a heating resistor. CONSTITUTION: Heating resistors 2 in pairs for constituting one dot are arranged in an array to the side of a front face of an insulating substrate 1. One of the pairing heating resistors 2 is electrically connected to an individual electrode 3 and the other is electrically connected to a common electrode 4 via a U electrode. Moreover, each individual electrode 3 is electrically connected to the side of a rear face of the insulating substrate 1 through a through hole 10. Each individual electrode 3 is connected to a driving element 5 at the rear face side, which is sealed 7 by an epoxy resin or the like. On the other hand, the common electrode side is a strip-shaped pattern and is electrically connected to the rear face side of the insulating substrate 1 through a plurality of through holes in the pattern. A current flows from the common electrode to the individual electrode selected by the driving element, whereby part of the heating resistor heats. A current capacity of approximately 5-100 mA or larger is necessary per one through hole.
