PURPOSE: A method for selectively inactivating characteristic of mobile station auxiliary hand-off is provided to supply a process where a SACCH and a FACCH are freely used for other message while relieving a calculation load on a base station in service. CONSTITUTION: Base stations(100, 140, 160) in service receive a trigger signal, whether or not a feature of a mobile station auxiliary hand-off(MAHO) in a mobile station receiving at least one service is activated is decided on the basis of the trigger signal and the MAHO feature is not activated by each mobile station. The method has a step where the MAHO feature to mobile stations receiving the service is activated when the mobile stations(120, 130) receiving the service receive the trigger signal, the MAHO with respect to the mobile stations receiving the service is inactivated and the mobile stations receiving the service are moved from a preceding position.
