PURPOSE: A security system for controlling a doorbell and a method thereof are provided to prevent operation of a doorbell by an outer visiter, who wasn't permitted by a resident. CONSTITUTION: The security system for controlling a doorbell and a method thereof include a few stages. In the stage of 200 it is judged if the visitor signal is detected or not and the signal isn't detected, it returns to the stage of 200. In the stage of 210 if the visitor signal is detected, the detected visitor signal is compared with the data of visitors set up in advance. In the stage of 220 it is judged if the detected visitor signal is appropriate to the data of visitors set up in advance or not and if the detected visitor signal isn't appropriate to the data of visitors set up in advance, it returns to the stage of 200. In the stage of 230 if the detected visitor signal is appropriate to the data of visitors set up in advance, the buzzer generating signal for generating the doorbell is output.
